Genealogy Workshop Schedule through December 2012
The following workshops are on the last Wednesday of each month and will be held from 10am to 11:30am. We'll be serving coffee at 9:30am, so come a little early to meet and greet everyone. As before, please call or email us if you plan to attend. Although the workshop is free to the public, seating is limited and we want to accommodate for everyone. Please note that the workshops will be held in the 2nd floor conference room at the Acadian Memorial unless otherwise stated:

-May 30: "Diocesan Records" by Barbara DeJean, Lafayette Diocese Archivist
-June 27: "Local Church Records" by Isabelle Pointer, St. Martin de Tours Archivist
-July 25 : "Introduction to the Genealogy Room" by Jane Bulliard & Patty GuteKunst, Library Staff
-POSTPONED TO SEPT 5TH--August 29: "St. Martin Parish Courthouse Genealogy database" by John Wayne Wiltz
-September 26: "Acadians in Gray" by Steven Cormier
-October 31: Daughters of the American Revolution/Sons of the American Revolution by Norma Lester and Rogers Romero
-November 28: Overview of getting started and worshop resources, by Janie Bulliard and Michelle Johnson
-December: no workshop
We plan to continue our genealogy workshops in January 2013, so we'd love your input on potential topics and speakers.
